Growing Food Access. Strengthening Community.
Waikōloa Grows is a community-driven nonprofit dedicated to improving access to fresh, locally grown food while supporting Hawaiʻi Island farmers and small businesses. As Waikoloa Village continues to grow rapidly—with hundreds of new workforce and housing units being developed—access to affordable, healthy food has not kept pace. Today, the community is served primarily by a single resort-priced grocery store, leaving many households searching for more accessible options.
Waikōloa Grows works to close this gap.
Through our weekly Farmstand and monthly Waikōloa Community Market, we create welcoming spaces where residents can purchase fresh island-grown produce, eggs, grab & go foods, and locally made food products while supporting the farmers and small businesses that sustain Hawaiʻi Island’s agricultural economy.
Our programs are designed to support families and seniors across the community, including many households within the ALICE population (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed) who are working hard but still face challenges accessing affordable fresh food.
Together, we are building a healthier, more resilient food system—one that supports farmers, strengthens community connections, and keeps food dollars circulating locally.
